CAMELBAK SIGNNS KIRT VOREIS

CamelBak has announced a new sponsorship deal with Kirt Voreis to promote their OutLaw freeride pack. Voreis is a stalwart in the sport and was the 2002 National Dual Slalom Champion. Voreis, a professional biker since 1994 started racing cross-country and was later hired as a professional downhill rider. His racing experience and international travel led to Voreis’s entry into street riding, freestyle and dirt jumping competitions.

Kirt is CamelBak’s exclusive backpack and hydration supplier for the 2006-2007 season in return for his CamelBak big bucks. CamelBak will incorporate Voreis in its marketing programs and leverage his expertise to drive product development. Kirt says that he is excited about the product and sees more opportunities for CamelBak’s involvement in all aspects of cycling. CamelBak produces the best mountain bike packs and it was an honor for me to be a part of their team.

Voreis has a significant influence on the sport beyond competition. Voreis has been taking mountain biking to the masses for the past two years by visiting bicycle dealers across the country and riding with locals on his Allride Tour through North America. Kirt is open to riding any type of bike, including the children’s secret dirt jumps and downhill shuttles. In 2006, the Allride Tour will be back on the road stopping at major events and dealerships as well as local trails throughout North America. Sea Otter is the perfect place to catch Kirt and his Allride Tour.

CamelBaks Originals will feature Voreis in its national advertising campaign, which begins in May. Mac Tillman, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, said that Kirt is an excellent ambassador for CamelBak because of our shared values of excellence and innovation and community.
