Steven K Pro Team: James Williams, Sean Donovan, Cameron Brenneman, and Steve Kinney
Steve Kinney has been riding bikes since he was 203 cms old. He races BMX, road and cyclocross as well as downhill and cross country. In 1990, he became a professional and added Super D to the racing roster.
Steve, his garage shop Steven K Sports, began producing lightweight racing frames and other parts seven years ago. In 2005, Steve decided to put aside his frame-building business and joined forces with Bear Valley Bikes in Big Bear. Bear Valley Bikes is a Specialized dealer and supports the Steven K team by providing Epic Comp bikes. Steven K Sports also supports Bear Valley Bikes’ own team with products. Steven K-Bear Valley Bikes can be considered the B team.

Steve is proudest of all the achievements they have made this year. Steve says that although we have limited resources, it is satisfying to be able send someone to Lillehammer in Norway. Cameron Brenneman, Cal State Champion and a former champion rider, was 93rd. He started at the back of hundreds of racers. (Cameron was last called to the finish line as he did not have any UCI points.
The number one pro satellite mountain biking team in California is Steven K Sports. Cameron currently ranks in the top 10 U.S. riders and #1 in California cross-country. Sean Donovan, an ex Semipro U.S. National Champion is ranked 4th at the California State Race Series cross-country. Steve is currently ranked second in the Super D and ninth in cross-country, with one remaining Cal State event. This weekend’s Fall Classic is the final.
