Poor support and an old mattress could also be the reason for your excessive tossing or turning. Restless sleep can be caused by stress, lifestyle issues and sleep disorders.

If you feel that your mattress is uncomfortable and you are unable to turn it on and off, then your mattress may be the problem.

Your body is trying find a position that is more comfortable for you and doesn’t press on your joints or stress your spine. Your mattress may not be as breathable as you thought. To keep the heat at bay, you should keep moving.
